A Japanese fishing vessel ran aground on Clifton’s First Beach on Saturday, I was out of Cape Town this past weekend so I only went to go check what all the fuss was about this morning.

I wasn’t allowed access onto the beach as I didn’t have a media pass, which was a pity. I did manage to get onto a resident’s balcony though. He proclaimed that he believed that the crew were drunk, which could be true as how else could they have ignored those huge radar systems that they have on board? 

It was a weekend. 

Rondebosch park. A place I’ve come to love. I’ve spent many an afternoon here; finding my inner child, observing or just enjoying a moment of serenity.
